scanner software wont work with Win2k

Its an HP ScanJet 4200C and I did a clean install of Win2k. I got the Win2k UPGRADE drivers for the scanner, but to install these upgrade drivers, i needed to have the old Windows 98 drivers installed on my PC for it to upgrade, so I tried to do this, and when i put the CD in to put on the 98 drivers, it said it cant install because there not compatible with NT, so what do I do?
