Scanner scans in pink ,please helppppppppppppppp!

Hi,
I have a visioneer scanner, it has worked well but recently it has started to scan everything in a pink color. I don't know what is wrong with it, is there anything I can do to correct it, I would appreciate any help, thanks! I also have windows xp.
I don't know what to do?

I reloaded and installed everything on my visioner cd rom for my scanner but it still scans in pink. How do i change the properties? I didnt know my scanner needed a driver, so I don't understand how to fix the problem?
 
Oh I know that one - it's the neon bulb that has worn out. Just pop it out and go to a lighting store and get a replacement, they're really cheap.
 
if you can, take the scanner to another computer and try it. try many different scanner revisions. if it still is pink on other computers, then ... eat it.
