I misplaced my microtek vantas 3100 scanner driver cd. I 've been trying to install the scanner but was unsuccessful. As soon as I plugin the scanner, F#@@#$ Windows XP detects it as USB 1200 scanner. but it won't work.

I have downloaded the microtek scanwizard from www.microtek.com, deleted all the twain, twunk, usbscan files and reinstalled the scanwizard software. But everytime, the scanner is recognized as USB 1200.

I am starting to hate M$.
