scanner for slides/photos?

I need to scan 35mm slides and photos. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what scanner is best bang for the buck?

I do not hesitate to recommend any of the Epson Photo scanners.

I second the Epsons. Check the Clearance section on the Epson web site and eBay - easy to find good deals on them. I hade a code for another 10% off at the Epson Clearance center ESCCSAVE. It expired on Oct 31, but you can try it anyway.

I have one of the Epson Perfection scanners as well. It does a decent job at scanning Negatives and Photos.
