Scanner defaults in Win XP

The scanner wizard in XP defaults to 150dpi for black and white. I want to make the default 300dpi but I can't seem to find a way to change it.

Anyone else know anything about this?
 
The only way that I have found is to use the custom setting. Set it up for B&W w/300 dpi. When you open the wizard you will have to select custom each time. Hope that helps.
