Scanned image printing issues.

I'm new to the digital camera, scanner, and printer stuff so please help me out.

Scanner: Canon 8600 F
Printer: HP Deskjet 3600

When I print straight from the scanner using the provided Canon tool, the colors come out as it is suppose to. However when I scan the image and save it to a file (JPG) and then print it, the colors come out very bluish and are not remotely close to what it is suppose to.

Does it have something to do with color calibration or is it because I saved it to JPG? I was looking for an option to save the scanned image to a raw format, but the only available options through the tool are JPG, TIFF, BMP, and PDF.

Thanks in advance

That's what Photoshop is for, and, yes, it's a calibration issue. With the vast differences in inks/toners, monitors, cameras and scanners it's a miracle that anything is even close to color matches.
