Scandisk constantly scanning a partition on my drive upon power-up/restart

Hello there,

I got Windows XP SP2 installed and it has been ongoing for months now that everytime I reboot Scandisk is offering to scan a certain partition. It never finds anything wrong and I'd like to cancel that process as it increases OS loading time by a large margin.

How do I do that?

Thanks.

Sometimes running chkdsk from the command prompt clears the problem.

[chkdsk c: /f] enter the partition you need to fix.

Bozo 😀
