Scan/wavey lines on an LCD ??

Hi everbody,

Something strange is going on w/ my monitor. I have a Viewsonic VG191 & a GF4 4400 video card set to 1280 x 1024 @ 75Hrz.

When I use the analog input , I get a wavy scan type line scrolling down my screen. When I switch to the DVI the scan line disappers.

The only reason I use the Analog input is when I install a Linux box because the installers can't probe my monitor thru the dvi port.

Anyone have an idea whats going on ??

Thank you for the help.

Regards,
Jose

well, you solved it a bit yerself, you have the wavy lines with analogue, but not with the DVI conn, I think what you're seing is interference somewhere in the analogue path that starts in your vidcard, goes trough yer cable, and ends up in yer screen, I had this too, and I solved it by rearranging my desk and WiFi card, so my monitor cable is as far away as possible from my antenna.
