Scan to Win7 File Share

I'm trying to help someone out who has a Savin 9021d multi-function device that has scan to SMB essentially. Unsure if this is printer or windows file share related, any helps appreciated.

All has worked well with this machine writing to a Windows 7 Professional PC that's used as a file server for a small office. Now about once a week the copier cannot save to the directory (which is referenced by IP), you receive a very generic "scan can't save to network" error message. However as a test I was able to save to a different PC on the network. AND once I reboot the Windows 7 machine magically the copier can save to it again. The copier utilizes credentials that are local to the Win7 machine, this user account has full privileges, as well as "Everyone".

Any thoughts on what a reboot of a Win7 PC would clear up that would allow the copier to save to it? Other members in the office have no issues with their mapped drives to this PC when the copier is running into issues. This is a Windows Workgroup comprised of less than 10 users.

I'm stumped, any avenues to explore?
