I spent a week or two trying to waste a little bit of some scammers time. Then, I got bored of the game and quit replying to him. On a whim last night, after receiving the first email from him in about a week, I responded:
Dr. Johnson, if that's your real name,
I was just interrogated by the FBI and CIA... they
told me this is a scam and you are wanted for
international terrorism. Is this true?! Apparently
field agents are trying to reach you for questioning.

I never expected to hear from the guy again.... I was wrong... he wants me to travel to his country now.... here's his response:

Dear Dr Pizza, ooh my GOD what are you trying to
tell me, infact this money is not a lundary money or
scam as you are saying, but you fell to understand
that in this world there are bad people nad good
people, that is why i forwarded to you all the
documents, infact am not happy with this mail because
i am not that type of people, this money is really
happening that is why i contcated you because i can
not be wasting my time for nothing, and that is why i
want you to come face to face to the bank here, please
please i want you to come down.

please tell me what to do now because you have made me
now sleepless, infcat you need to come down to avoide
you having double mind so that we will go to bank
direct hence you have the whole documents i sent to
you.

i am waiting now now to hear from you.

JOHNSON MAYAKI.

Any creative ideas on how to respond? Should I "fly" down, but only be able to land in some airport on the opposite side of his country? ;)

Tell him to wire you the money for the tickets, which you will gladly repay him upon arrival.

Oh, good one! "I cannot pay for the tickets in person because the FBI has frozen my checking account. However, if I can make it to Canada, I will be able to fly out. All I need is $50 to take a charter flight to Canada"

$50? Ask for $400 at least... Western Union wire transfer...

Then claim to be arriving at an airport moderately far away, but not impossibly far away, from the scammer and request to be picked up.
