I posted my laptop on CL a while back and have gotten about 12 hits from scammers. Money Order payment, I will provide FedEx shipping account, blah blah... I trying to come up with a way to try and scam these scammers...

What if you were to reply stating that you would be more than happy to sell them your item but to make sure they are "legit", have them send you cash, something small, $5 - $10. If you had 5 scammers bite on this (I think they would, send someone $5 with hopes of making $1200) you could profit $25 - $50. Thoughts?

there are plenty of sites already dedicated to wasting scammers' time.

your best bet... delete their emails and move on.

Accept their payment, and ship them a loooooot of crap you've got laying around. I'm talking bricks, broken monitors, fish carcasses.. You name it :).

That makes you a scammer also.

Indeed. And a hell of a lot easier to prosecute too since he's in the USA and they're off somewhere in Nigeria.

And if they're local, they would know your address as well.
