Scammers calling my father's house

My father just informed me that for over one week there have been calls from people with middle eastern accents. They first say that my father has won something and then proceed to ask for his checking account information. When he declines, they hang up. I'm wondering why they're so persistent in calling and how they got our information? They've actually asked for my uncle, my father and I. It's quite scary how they've got my exact phone number as well as my name.

Anyone have any experience in dealing with these types of scammers?

My father attempted to called the phone company but was unable to speak to someone from OpSec. Will the FTC take any type of action?

Tell them to not call you again or you would be taking up a legal action against them for harassing you and your family. SUE and win big. First ask them for their business information and the caller's name then take legal action against them and PROFIT... Seriously.

I would find where they were working and go in a shooting spree. - HIGHLY NOT SUGGESTED

I wonder if they're like the Nigerian guys and if I would be able to make them do stupid stuff like hold up signs and have them e-mail it to me.
