In my recent Froogle search while shopping for several item including ZCPU, case, motherboard, and stuff a site called savingsshopping.com displayed the lowest price by far. Example
http://www.savingsshopping.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1728
http://www.savingsshopping.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=611
e6400 cpu for $160 etc.
Anyway . . . . I tried to order some items but at the end of the checkout procedure they give an option of saving $50 by applying for chase credit card. It says after submitting the application you will be taken to the checkout screen where the $50 discount will be applied. - I did - nothing happend, the screen simply closed. Then I tried to checkout and just pay for my stuff. It won'y go passed that screen. I tried many times and failed. It looks like the "continue checkout" button is not even llinked to any page but simply a image. They are banking on the fact that out of thousands of people they are bringing through Froogle everyday, most of them will take the $50 discount bait and fill out the credit card application. I don't think they are in a business to sell anything - they are simply attaracting people through Froogle search with the lowest price then getting them to fill out chase card application. It could be even worse and they might use this info for identity theft - they have all my personal info including SS#. Please confirm that my observation is corrrect and more people don't fall victim to this very smartly designed scam.
