Scallops rolled up in bacon!

I want to try them on Christmas Eve at my mom's house. They sell them frozen at our local store or i could make them.

How hard is it to make? Anyone ever try the frozen ones?

My mom makes those around new year's eve... veerrry delivious. Can't be too hard to do, I'd ask her but she's at work.

Dude, are you serious? It's a strip of bacon, wrap around a piece of scallop. It's not that hard.

Strip of bacon around a fat scallop. Held in place with a toothpick.

Place on metal pan; drop in a few scoops of real butter and some lemon juice.
Broil until golden brown.

A slice of heaven.

They're hard to make as the scallop gets done before the bacon. What I do is place them on a skewer and pan fry them for a few minutes, then place them in an oven to finish them off.

Also, I like to wrap a water chestnut slice under the bacon to add some texture, and then sprinkle a little brown sugar on them before they go in the oven.

You can also do this recipe with fried chicken livers. It's a Hungarian hors d?oeuvre called Rumaki when you do it like that.

It is hard- scallops turn to rubber if you over cook them.
