Hi,

just testing out the ACER AL2223wd with my really old computer at the moment.

computer is running geforce 4 ti4200 and prior to this Acer ws lcd, i have been using a 19inch flat crt. I have the latest nvidia drivers installed.

My problem is as such, no matter whther i'm using DVI or analog input...

I can't seem to get the computer to give me the "digital flat panel" settings tab in nvidia's contral panel. It just isn't there!! As a result, whenever I load a game that DOESN'T support Widescreen - it is autoscaled... creating somewhat stretched pictures.

Can anyone help with regards as to whether this is a software OR hardware issue and if there is a fix (w/o say... reformatting)

Thanks!

The scaling seemed to always work well with my old Ti4200. I did not use the latest drivers, but an older one that was better for the Ti4200 (Detonator 66.96, I think). I don't think you need the digital flat panel tab, you just need to get to the "Advanced Timings" and select proportional scaling.
