Scaling Issue (I think?) with BenQ E2200HD

I decided I was probably slightly outdated on my video driver the other day, so I got the latest beta. Clean install, no problems, but when my rig got to the Vista sign on screen, the picture was scaled smaller, leaving black bars around all sides of the picture.

Thinking this might be a beta driver issue, I downloaded the latest WHQL from nvidia. Same issue :|

So I'm researching and doing all everything I can find regarding improper picture scaling - the overscan utility from nvidia doesn't work, regedits w/overrides don't work.

Anyone else had this problem? I know I'm not really missing too much in way up updates with the drivers, but this is annoying and when a certified driver from nvidia does the same thing, I'm inclined to think this is something no one has seen/reported yet.

Any ideas?

If I change it to 1680x1050, everything scales correctly, however, once I bump it up to its native, I get the bars :|

What is the native resolution of this monitor?

What is your GPU scaling option setting set too? Aspect Ratio? monitor scaling? etc?

E2200 OSD Picture from AT

Check these settings, you probably want to turn Overscan OFF and if its set to Full (explains 1680 scaling to the entire screen), change it to Aspect.

Also go into your Nvidia CP and for Flat Panel Scaling, change the radio button to "Do Not Scale."

Probably wouldn't matter what gpu scaling option he set to. He shouldn't have bars when running native resolution.

Yep. Also - when connected via DVI cables, I lose ability to control features of the monitor since it receives/sends all timing/scaling via digital connection. Overscan and picture related options (sans color and contrast/brightness) are not available while connected via DVI.
