Scaling at custom lower-than-native res. with ATI HD 2xxx videocard

I have asked this question in the graphics forum, where it was greeted with silence. So I am trying again in this more technical forum, although it is not "highly" technical.

I have a 24-inch monitor (1920x1200) and NVidia 6150 integrated graphics. I know how to create custom resolutions and have them scaled in the videocard for proper display on the monitor, using the "Use NVidia Scaling" option.

What I would like to know is if there are options in the ATI Catalyst Control Center to create a custom resolution, even a non-standard one (eg: 1344x840), and have this resolution scaled in the videocard before a native 1920x1200 is sent to the monitor. That's the way NVidia Scaling works, and I would like to know if there is a similar-working option with recent ATI videocards, especially the HD 2xxx series.

I am asking the question to know if I would still be able to easily/properly scale at lower resolutions if I add an ATI videocard and de-activate the NVidia integrated graphics.

I hope my question is clear enough. I am not worried about 1:1 pixel mapping or scaling with fixed aspect ratio or scaling using the monitor scaling circuitry.

Thanks

I am unable to find any custom resolution feature in the CCC. There are plenty of resolutions available to choose from, and scaling works well with these, but if you need custom resolutions it's not looking good. I might have overlooked something though.

Thanks for looking it up DRavisher :)

Looks like I will be getting an NVidia card, as this feature is important to me.

Ya I see this as a deal breaker for me as well. If I get a 1920x1200 display, I'd have to buy a new graphics card every year or so to keep playing at that high of a resolution. Nvidia's scaling option is awesome. Heres to hoping AMD does the same.
