SC2 looping patch note solution, NOT related to server status!

It took me a while to find that so I hope this helps you... most people say that the looping patch issue with SC2 is because the servers are down, this is WRONG.

You need to reboot windows into safe mode with networking, then try to run the game and it will patch. repeat this until the game says it cannot run because the video card is disabled in safe mode (thats when you know its up to date)
then reboot into normal windows mode and run the game.
