SBS 2K3 My Documents redirection problem

I set up a SBS 2003 server at my father-in-laws business some while ago. I also turned on the My Documents redirection option so that their files were backed-up.

However the other day I noticed that C:\Users Shared Folders (the default for the redirection) was starting to fill up the C: drive while lots of space was still available on D: so I figured I'd redirect to \\Bmtserver\User Documents (which is a share I set up according the specific SBS directions). Sadly, today I logged into TS to check the directory figuring there would be a pile of new files in there as the users would have logged in this morning and the sycnh should have taken place and the \\Bmtserver\User Documents directory is still empty.

Suggestions?

Did you follow the procedure in this document?

? Closing connections for Users Shared Folders
? Ensuring the destination partition is formatted as NTFS
? Enabling quotas on the destination partition
? Exporting and importing quota settings
? Moving the Users Shared Folders to the destination partition
? Sharing the Users folder on the destination partition
? Enabling file version retention on the destination partition

I always move the ClientApps, User Folders, and Exchange Store to another partition during the SBS install. It saves tons of time compared to trying to move it later on (which is a PITA).

I know very little about SBS, but maybe you have to copy the files over manually. What does the My Documents folder look like from a user's workstation? Is it empty? You can also right-click on the My Documents folder and chose Properties to see where it is being redirected to.

I'll follow this document. It seemed pretty straight forward using the "wizard" that is in SBS and the simple "more information" provided.

What Wizard did you follow? "Configure My Documents Redirection"?

I'm not sure what the consequences are of following that Wizard for MOVING the redirection to a different location. I do know that the procedure that I referenced DOES work.

This is one SBS case that, as far as I know, it's better to do manually.

I guess it wasn't so much a "wizard" as it was a "click here for more info" that they prompt you too after choosing a non-default location.
I followed the direction in that small help pop-up.
