sbs 2003 mailbox limit

i have a user that is still getting "mailbox disabled" messages saying that he has exceeded his quota limits even after i set the mailbox quotas to unlimited (i unchecked all the quota boxes so that there are no restrictions). is there any way i can get rid of this? he was over the quota before i set it to unlimited so im thinking it just hasnt recognized the new policy or something.

Also double check that there isnt a custom limit set on the user's account object.

BTW, you should set a restriction (even if a very high one) else you could run into a situation where you run out of disk space etc and run in to bigger problems down the road.

How long ago did you change the quota? Exchange (SBS) runs mailbox maintenance nightly which takes care of things like that. Tomorrow morning that message will probably go away.

Yeah, but, even with Exchange 2003 SP2, you can't set a restriction larger than 2GB, so the use of mailbox size restrictions doesn't work for some folks. I've had to turn off the mailbox size settings at some offices, since there are many mailboxes larger than 2GB nowadays.
