SBS 2003 broken

skyking

I can get to the web OK on the server, but it is not getting passed to the clients. A reboot did not cure it.
The clients can log on and get to the exchange server OK. What services should I look at?

Note: I am more of a linux server administrator. I add users and machines to this domain on occaision and perform other simple tasks, clean up files, back up offsite, etc.
I'm not the admin of record for this machine or domain, but they are not responsive and I could use a little help. If the lack of support continues we will get a new service situation going.

Two nic box, no sign of ISA 2004.
Apparently exchange is not working properly either, no mail getting sent out or in.
EDIT 1:
On reboots:
The owner tried one yesterday, and it hung on update 9 of 13.
I did not know this. I allowed updates to get installed, and it got through all 13 this morning.
EDIT 2:
I found a service had stopped, one that was set to manual. I restarted it and have the web back. I sent out some test emails with success.

Description:
The WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service service entered the running state.

I don't know why this sevice is set to manual.
The server is still hosed up in other fundamental ways, with file browsing being painfully slow.
Thank you RebateMonger for checking in on this one. The battle is far from over, this machine has hung and been rebooted 3 times in as many weeks.
