SBLiveValue Sound does not work after installing drivers (WinXP)

Problem:
1. Fresh install of WinXP Pro
2. Sound works when using default drivers from WinXP on SB Live Value Sound Card.
(speaker plugged into SB live from since start of install)
3. Installed Creative's latest drivers download from website.
4. Sound stopped working
5. removed all drivers and programs from Creative.
6. Sound worked.
7. Reinstalled drivers for SB Live.
8. Sound stopped working.
9. Plugged speakers into onboard sound.
10. sound works

Desired solution:
I want to be able to use SB Live's sound. Please help!!

Background
- EliteGroup K7S5A Motherboard w/ onboard sound
- Athalon XP 1600
- 768 MB Memory
- Windows XP Professional OS

Correction: I have an SB Live 5.1... not value

You say you uninstall the creative drivers,but do you uninstall the XP drivers before you install the creative ones? Creative recommends that you do not install the XP drivers!
