Sblive & WinXP

I've successfully installed Sblive & WinXP on all my previous machines, I recently received a Value card (CT 4830) and popped it into my WinXP comp. Everything installed fine, and it detected my soundcard. However when I tried running the SbliveXPupdate it said "can't detect soundblaster live hardware". I said Ok, I went to system hardware and saw Soundblaster live WDM, Gameport were all installed without any conflicts or anything. So I then tried playing a mp3/wave, however it runs very slow and no sound is being outputed. All the previous installations that went perfect were with the Sblive CT 4620 series. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks.

Drivers Im using those drivers. It says for the 483x series on the page. However, its strange that the CT4620's worked fine with WinXP native drivers. It worked even without updating the software. But for the CT4830 card WinXP detects it and all, but no sound output and can't update.

that's odd! I've got the exact card & it works great with just the windows WDM driver so I didn't use the soundblaster update driver!
btw there's a new WDM driver on thewindows update site.

Just wondering... Did ya update from Win98 or any previous operating system? I was running off the Sis735 Wave mapper before, and I still am since it's not working. :( Anyone else have any ideas?
