i have been running windows 2000 professional for over a year now. and this past week i installed win2k server and applied service pack 1. On the install of win2k server the system would crash out on plug and play detection. i took out the card and the OS installed perfectly. then i applied the service pack. when i put in the SBlive! in the computer win2k Server freezes on boot up. whats up with that? think the card is broken? i have no IRQ conflicts. i have a DFI super 7 board with 2megs cache, 320MB of RAM, V3k, and an adaptec 2940. i remember when i last install win2k prof i had to apply a patch for the sblive to work. but i forget what it was.

Do you have the latest BIOS for your SUPER 7 board?

There may be a BIOS upgrade required to enable compatibility with Windows 2000.
