SBLive Surround Mixer on XP

I just bought the Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers and love them. Perfect surround sound on Win98, but my problem is with XP and those damn SB Live drivers. I can't set my sound card to a 5.1 setup without the surround sound mixer, but those drivers make XP nuts. Is it possible to get just the surrond sound mixer onto my system without the drivers and everything else?????? I've tried it from the disk but it still installs the drivers......HELP!!!!!! Thanks

Have you tried the latest drivers from Creative specifically for WinXP? Just install those....Creative mixer and AudioHQ are included with the driver download.

Thanks for the link but I've tried that and the Creative download only gives me 37.2kb of 9.03mb...is there another link..????

Umm, I do believe that the updated drivers are available though Windows Update. I got them there and it solved all my SBLive woes.

Ah mr wolfe,

here are a few links to try (remember the days of 56 k <tis the reason you get to try them lol)
