Alrite, so im helping my friend do a clean install in his Asus cusl2, p3 800, everything is working fine until we get up to the sblive. its an sblive x-gamer. i goto the creative site to get the drivers, which happens to be the same drivers for i guess every sblive out there now. I download it, run it and i get an error telling me there is no sblive in the system...eR?

so i take the original cd, and do an install w/ the cd. it installs just fine, but when rebooting, at the win2k splash screen, it freezes, boot into safe mode, remove all sblive stuff, boots fine, reinstall, and freezes again

i am stumped...anyone have any ideas to help??

Have you tried to remove the card from you computer completely and seat it into a different PCI slot?
 
yup, i just moved it to different slots its still freezing on me....ack~!

fine, no one can help...well, i moved his card to my computer, and all i get is a continous beep when the computer is posting, remove it, boots just fine...so bad card??
