I am have all kinds of trouble getting the SBLive running in Win98SE.
The drivers load up and are the card is detected on Control Panel, but I cannot get any sound.
I know there are some problems with The ASUS A7V mobo and the SBLive cards. Can any one help me out???
 
Trouble with A7V and SBLive? I personally is running the same setup (Asus A7V and SB Live! Value) with win2k and I have no problems at all...

I would suggest switching the Live card to a different PCI slot and see if that helps... if I remember correctly IRQs are shared between different slots...
 
Had same setup... Worked great
Sold same setup to a client & diddnt work worth beans... Had to move the card to the 2nd pci slot from the top (yea the one that shares with the promise controller) & everything else went flawless
 
Cooltech, I'll try that. Did you have to disable the ATA100 in the bios?
I tried that and hooked up the hard drive to one of the standard IDE channels. Still no luck.
 
I am using ATA100 fine with mine and my Sound Blaster Live is in slot #3 without any problems. Email me if you want.
