does the CREATIVE LABS SOUND BLASTER LIVE! 5.1 have the digital tos link output so i can record my minidiscs digitally??
 
Unfortunately it doesn't. You can get an add-on for it so that it does though. Go to http://www.soundblaster.com/accessories/livedrive/ and you can get an add-on thing that takes up a drive bay that has optical out, among MANY other connectors. I don't know if you want to shell out the money for it though, or if its even available online.

If you want to go the non-soundcard way, I'm pretty sure that Sony sells a USB-to-digital connector. They sell a usb-to-analog one too, so be sure you look for the right one. I don't know if It works with non-sony players, but you can look.

what is a good sound card that is cheap, good for gaming and mp3 that has digital out?? i dont want to go with the card upgrade idea (daughter card)
