i am looking around online at some different Single Board Computers, i see that most have what looks like an isa<lokks like it at least> adapter<as if it plugs intto an isa slot>. What is this, would i need a nother card to adapt this to use?
pls a little info.
thnx

You can find a mainframe (chassis) for the SBC in some industrial computer catalogs (I think one is even called "Industrial Supply"). They also have AD boards, DIDO, and other process-control type boards that go in the same chassis.

The frame is basically a backplane with sockets, with/without integrated power supplies.

I'm pretty sure you can't adapt the board to a normal motherboard.

Good Luck
