But I can use Mirc and Internet explorer. Is it a connection problem? I can download off of IE as well. I just can't connect to AIM or Firefox. Please help!
 
I ran into that on a new Sony Vaio P4 Lappy the other day. Usually it's IE that does not work and Firefox that does. It was Spyware. Took me a few hours but zapped it all and it all started working again. Try Ad-aware and Spybot. See if they find it.
 
I have been a faithful Spybot guy and I wouldn't discourage you using it but you might also get Microsoft's beta Anti-SPyware app. So far I prefer it above any of the available spy/malware removal tools, and I've pretty much tried them all. Google Microsoft Anti-SPyware beta.
 
I tried all the spyware programs mentioned above, but the connection still cant access AIM/Mirc/Games. I have no idea what's wrong! I can't even update my spyware... it says connection is not found even though I can access the site with Internet Explorer. TIA!
