SBC static IP

I applied for static IP from SBC yahoo.
Do I need any special router or special modem? or siemen's modem that i got when i was using basic dsl service and regular router will do same job?

The Router should be the same.

The Modem probably too. If for some unknown reason Sbc is using other modems for a static IP, SBC will probably take care of it.

You will be sticky static. If you want to use your 5 usable ips, then you must have one that will be capable of routing them thru a PPPoE connection.
