Well, I received my DSL package today which came bundled with the speed stream DSL modem and the filters. I already hooked up the modem and everything is set. I see solid green for DSL and was wondering if I should use the line before its activation date on January 28th. Does anyone know if I will incur any charges if I use their service early? Has anyone ever done this? If so, did you get charged? If you did get charged, how much was it and for how long did you use it for? TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I've never heard of anyone getting charged extra... maybe they will start your billing cycle the first day you connect though... I wouldn't worry about it, just connect 🙂
 
Anyone ever try this? I'm at school right now and I'm still comtemplating. I don't know whether the charge will be high or not... also I'm apprehensive because some people on FW said that the SBC tech told them "DO NOT USE THE CONNECTION BEFORE THE DATE" Caps intimidate me! 😕

billing shouldnt begin until the due date

and even if it did start billing you early for some strange reason.... if youre paying $29.95 a month ... each extra day would be like 97 cents

It probably won't work until that date or close to it. They must connect you at their end too. It won't hurt to try though.
