SBC billing hell

always billing error! this is my third time I have to deal with this crap, getting throught to them is a pain and they take 30 freakin min. waiting time and another 30min of them having me on hold so often just to try to correct it. After logging on to my account on sbc.com, I am still owed 94.96?! its say overdue for may 20?? crazy!
They do this crap all the time just trying to rip some unsuspecting people off.. sbc is a bunch of scam artist.. like expert package 139.95 and then do discount 94.96 to get the 44.99 pricing.
but they forget this month and I'm afraid next month too. When I last called them, said they were going to remove it but its been over 3 week. btw, I'm on promotion since feb for the new expert package, how the fvck can this keeps happening to someone who's been a customer for over a year?
My bill for march was 133, and april 186??? maybe next month 274.00
 
I dislike SBC DSL because they want to install a whole assload of SBC branded Yahoo crap on your machine. Barf.

Just get a router...then you don't have to install their crappy software.
 
yahoo is hell, they are the worst search engine. their driving direction are so bad that one would get lost and be in some other states, I have been through this.
sbc+yahoo= crap
everytime I call to sbc for billing problems, they keep trying to sell me the complete calling plan w/right touch, calling id etc. for 59.95 a month. you got to be kidding me! so they can bleed me even more? also try to get me on 20.00 unlimited long distance which I may not use more then 5-10bucks a month.
Me wonder how my basic calling plan for 17.00 turns out to be 34.00 with extra fee tacked on all the time??

what speeds you getting for those prices?

stupid sbc promised upgrades in speed last october... #@% nothing happened

I have one (well, I have several, actually), but I was at a friend's place in LA where she didn't have one, and I had to get on the internet for work. It literally took about 40 minutes to remove that crap from my PC when I was done.

6000/600 but this only happened after being upgraded from my pathetic 1536/288 on deluxe prior to feb.
yea they promised everyone that all with 1500/128 to 1500/256
and 1500/288 to 1500/384 but they gave up on that lol. too much work basically, sbc got lazy.
 
I have had literally dozens of errors on my bill, they've never been in my favor.

I have to conclude they're purposely ripping off the unwary & the old....

Ditto on the router, when I first got SBC, I had to leave their software installed because they refused to troubleshoot anything if you dared to hook up a router🙁 They finally gave up on that crap.

these errors are purposely done to make extra money for those who dont pay attention to their bills.
let's say standard 49.95, discount 23.00 to make the final price 26.95
deluxes 59.95, discount 15.00 to make it 44.95
Its kind of silly to do that, because it makes thing so complicated yet confusing to the unweary customer.
They want you to think you're saving money but you're already paying them premium price for dsl connection even with the discount. well anyway, the billing error takes 2-3 billing cycle to fix!
frankly, my bills for 168-186 occur at least 3-4 months. I almost get a heart attack everytime I see this.
 
been there, done that. they screw up on the credits too though. they're equally inept. so you might make a profit on the whole deal.
 
Now I'm paying about 87-89 a month! How can 17.00 for phone+44.95 dsl equal this much???
Should be 61.95 total, what the hell? 25-27 dollars in taxes and ripoff scam?
WTF? 88x12= 1056 annually just for internet connection and crappy phone service 🙁
