SBC/AT&T Pro Package Throughput Speed

The SBC Pro package is rated at 1.5 to 3.0Mbps. What is the average speed and best throughput speed for most users?

My basic 384Kbps to 1.5Mbps averages 1.15 with occasional 1.35Mbps readings. Originally, SBC capped my line at 384Kbps. They originally blamed the problem on the 17,000 feet distance from the Central Office. They only fixed the problem after several phone calls.

It really varies by location, I'm in Northern CA and have the 6mbs down 768kbs up package. My download speeds kinda suck (they hover just above 250KBs) but my upload speeds go as high as 90KBs, which makes it worth it for me.

furballi, most up to 3 meg packages ive seen get around 2400-2500kilobits per second

DrVos, what router are you on? (you can do a tracert and look at the next hop after your own equipment)
