SB LiveDrive software question

Squisher

Lifer
Purchased one of those LiveDrive1's(bare unit) from Computer Geeks awhile back and was getting around to install it. I noticed when looking online at the manual that it mentions installing software. Is this software something besides the Liveware 3.0 that I installed when I put in my X-gamer?

Nope, No software needed for the Live Drive, apart from the mention about SP/DIF pass-thru in Audio Centre somewhere.

Well, right now it won't be so simple. Computer Geeks is out of stock. You can buy one at Creative Labs for top dollar(like $130). The For Sale forum here at Anandtech usually has one every once in a while. Computer Geeks is a deep discounter specializing in buying new and used products in lots that they sell cheap. I've got, all new, the Livedrive for $29, a belkin 4 port usb hub for $12, and a Logitech QuickCam VC for $30. Great prices but stuff doesn't stay in stock for long.
