SB Live! X-Gamer in Win2k

I need help. I cant get my SB Live to work in Win2k. I really like surfing the web and stuf with 2k but I need my mp3s, but my sound card isnt working right. When I go to run mp3s in winamp I get a message about the device being out of range. I looked at the hardware profile and there is an exclamation on the SB Live entry. Any ideas what is wrong here? I really want to move over to win2k more and more but I really need my sound. All I get now is the sound from the little speaker in my case...the standard "boop" sound no matter what is going on.

did you buy sound card as retail. I have same sound card sound blaster live 5.1 gamer and it runs no problems in win2k. Maybe i could send you my drivers off orignal cd

Check the Gateway site. They had some SB/Win2k drivers up.

Soundblaster's site also has the drivers, or at least they did 2 weeks ago.

I have that sound card and it works great in Win2k. Just download the latest drivers HERE
