SB Live X-Gamer 5.1 does it have hardware accel?

I have this card on my system as we speak.

I thinks it's a great card, be sure to load creative lastest drivers from their site web.

I'm using it on a 4.1 sound setup and it sound real good.

What I did on my system is activate both onboard and sblive sound card. This way I plug my headphones in the onboard so when I want to swicht to them I can switch my default sound card in windows. A nice alternative when speakers or front panel headfont jack isnt available.

If I had to buy a card now, I would with the audigy tough, as you can find them in OEM for very cheap.
