SB live vs onboard epox 8rda+ sound

The live i have isnt 5.1..i have 5.1 speakers hooked up to it now..

Wondering if the sound is really better in the onboard mobo..

reason i have the live drive and i cannot use it with onboard sound..i like the front headphone jack on the drive because
it is controlable...


ideas??

Id say in games it wont matter but dvd's it will?

I have the 8RDA (non + version) and used the onboard sound when I first got it. It sounded just fine, and I really couldn't tell much difference between it and my TB Santa Cruz sound card.

However, I recently upgraded to a 4 speaker setup, disabled the onboard, and went back to the Santa Cruz.

Personally, I'd say just to use the SB/Live Drive combo....
