SB Live Value Sound Card Problems

Ok, I went from WindowsMe with an Aureal SQ2500 Sound card to WindowsXp and a SB Live Value card. Music sounds a lot better but games with Eax support suck! I would play game that had Eax and the audio sometimes cuts in and out, I would be watching an opening movie to the next mission in Soldier of Fortune or something and while you can hear all the action, you can't hear them speak. You see their mouths moving but no voices. I would turn the EAX support off and I would get it all back.

What should I do? Should I go searching around for the Sound Blaster Live Platinum cards I have stored somewhere or should I download the latest driver for the sound card or something? I am currently using WinXp's sound card drivers. The driver on the web page is over 25mbs and this computer only has dial up access because the DSL computer isn't on the network yet.

Start downloading the updated drivers now and install them in the morning. :)
