i just got some logitech z-640's, so of course i want to listen to all the speakers in all their glory. unfortunately, for some reason my sblive keeps putting the settings back at 2-speaker output (instead of 4-speaker). when i go to the speaker preset setup, the 4-speaker is the only one selected. the only way to change it back to 4-speaker output is to go into the creative surround mixer, and choose 4-speaker there. but, after a little while (sometimes its random), it will go back to 2-speaker, with no output from the rear speakers. ive noticed this also occurs when i load some games (such as the planetside beta), even if i have the eax setting selected.

any ideas on how to fix this?

thanks,

Go to "Control Panel" find "Sounds and Multimedia" and set Your Speakers in there for 4.1... Also, somewhere in Your creative settings, there is a check box for "Save Settings Automaticly" tick it... Do alot of exploring of Your creative settings; You'll get it.
