SB Live issue with XP

I came across an older Sound Blaster Live! card and I went to put it in one of my computers that has Windows XP pro on it. The card was detected and the default drivers were installed by windows. However, when I downloaded the updated drivers from sound blaster's website, they failed to install (I tried a couple different drivers from their site and none of them worked). When I went to install the drivers this error message came up:

"Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster Live! Series WDM Drivers on your system"

Any ideas?

Sorry, I forgot to mention the model number earlier. The model written on the card is CT4780 which according to Sound Blaster's website, it is a SB Live! Value Digital card. Let me know what you think the problem could be. Thanks

I, too, am having troubles. I have a Live! X-Gamer on my second pc, and ever since I installed the latest drivers I have been getting lock ups. I may need to get another Santa Cruz.
