SB Live! doesnt work with digital out!

its not my system, I can play music perfectly through the normal outputs of the card...

I have one of the first Sound Blaster Live! Value's, it has a "phono" jack that says digital out, so I made myself a cable using an old microphone, and an RCA cable, plugged it into the coax. digital input on my receiver...

It works if I keep playing with the "digital output only" in the volume controls, but its really laggy...


Ive tried billions of drivers, nothing works...

Any ideas?
