SB Live causing lock ups in win2k with RAID

Quad

i have win2k installed on my asus a7v133, using the onboard raid controller. my sb live causes my system to freeze. i have the latest raid drivers, sblive drivers, 4in1's. i've tried moving the card to different slots, but nothign seems to work

in slot 5, win2k wont' even load. it freezes at the screen where it asks you for your password.
in other slots, win2k will freeze after a few minutse of using winamp, playing games, or just browsing.
without the sblive, my system runs fine.

any ideas on how to fix this?

yeah i have the latest bios and sblive drivers.
i already had version .19 of the pci latency patch installed.

no matter what slot i put it in, the sblive always causes lockups, especially in games. in the middle of playing q3, my system will just freeze. any other ideas on how to get this fixed?

thx in advance

No surprise. A7V133 = VIA. 😀

You can make sure the SB! Live has a dedicated IRQ; perhaps it is sharing and doesn't like it. Make sure you have the latest 4-in-1, latest BIOS, and latest PCI Latency Patch installed. If all else fails, you'll either have to ditch the SB! Live or find a new motherboard.
