Hey,

I have a SB Live and an intel 100+ pro NIC and a KT7a. When I was running 98SE, i just disabled SB16 Emulation and that fixed the IRQ problems, but now I'm on XP and I have no idea of how I can fix this problem. Has anyone encounter this and have success yet? If so I could really use the help. Thanks.

Just move your cards to different PCI slots. Start by moving your SB Live to a different slot. I am assuming you have more available slots of course.

Thnx bacillus, but I don't want to reinstall XP. I want to leave that as a last option. Anyone else?

Well, see the reason I asked is because I remember trying that sometime ago and it didn't work, but I did it again just to make sure and it still doesn't work. Maybe I'm just not doing it right, but anyway anyone else have another suggestion?

What specific problem is this causing for you?

When you move the cards around, go into the device manager and remove it first, then shutdown and move the cards. Look in your mobo manual. It usually tells you which slots share IRQ's. Usually pci slot #1 will share with the agp slot. Sometimes pci 1 and 5 share. All kinds of combo's so look in the manual.
