SB Live 5.1 Sound versus Chaintech VNF3-250 onboard, which is better for gaming/Music?

So I got my new Athlon 64 3000/Chaintech VNF3-250 board yesterday. I disabled the onboard sound and just used my SB live 5.1 instead. Is the onboard better?

No, but its likely you wouldnt be able to tell any difference in quality. Using the sb instead of onboard sound uses less cpu cycles though, so stick with what youre doing

Keep the SB Live, it'll take a load off the CPU, and give you mroe hookup options.

I've got a VNF3-250. The on-board is CRAP. Then again, this is budget board so it's not surprising.
