I flashed my BH6 to the latest update and my modem stopped working....so I flashed back to the original bios and now I get this message on the windows boot-up screen:

"Could not allocate code/patch ram below 4 mbyte boundary. Try loading sbinit.com before smartdrive.exe or minimizing vdisk ram. creative sb16 emulation driver not loading."

Can anyone tell me why this happened and what to do to correct this?

Thanx ....

Looks like some of your BIOS options were changed during the flash. SB16 Emulation requires by default, IRQ 5 and 2 DMA channels. 8-bit audio files use DMA1 and 16-bit Audio files use DMA 5.

SB16 will not share IRQ's, so if you have to use it, (mailnly for old games), the IRQ has to be set to Legacy ISA in your BIOS PCI/PnP options. If you don't use SB16 Emulation, you can sve yourself some trouble and disable it in the Device manager. Check that nothing SB related is loading through Config.sys and Autoexec.bat also.
