SB Audigy woes

My biggest beef is that it screws up Counter-Strike. I play in windowed mode and do other things like surf and answer IMs when I, uh, don't do so good. ;) When I first start up the game everything is fine. Then I start alt tabbing to other applications and then back and the first thing is the sound usually starts getting so that it pops a little bit. Then after a while of that the sound is popping a lot and I even get delay from one speaker to another. Does anyone else ever get this? It kinda pisses me off. Shouldn't have to pay $100 to be a beta tester for Creative Labs. Does this happen with any other sound cards?

Thanks for any help,

Sounds like you just had a bad install of the Audigy drivers. I believe it may have something to do with EAX not turning off and on when you want it to.

I got a response back from Creative tech support. They suggested I move the card to a different PCI slot. So far so good. I don't know why that works, or why there needs to be a reason for me to switch it, but I'm happy now.

MasterHoss, I've had several reformats since I first got this puppy, so the reoccurence of this issue made me suspicious.
