Is there a service in Windows XP, that if disabled or set to manual, would cause windows to think that no sound card is installed? My prob is, I install the default drivers for my SB Audigy card. It works fine, UNTIL i reboot. When I reboot, i get into winxp, and it says when I try to play audio, no sound card detected. If I go into device manager, it is listed, and says there are no conflicts.
I am curious if a service is messing it up?
