SB Audigy and that lame Creative taskbar!!

I love my new Soundblaster Audigy card, but I really, REALLY hate that annoying "Creative Taskbar" that is ever-so-present at the top of my desktop. Is there any way to get rid of it short of uninstalling the Audigy?
 
Right click on the blue and black A in the System Tray.

Go to Options, and make sure that both items are unchecked, as well as Show Task Bar.

Then simply select Exit.
 
IIRC, I just right clicked on the creative icon in the taskbar next to the clock & chose for it not to run at startup (or maybe it was exit 😱). the upper taskbar didn't reappear with next reboot!
 
actually the easiest way to avoid all the crap Creative puts on your HD is just select "Drivers only" when you install the Audigy
 
Why don't you just uninstall the Creative Launchbar. You DO have the ability to uninstall individual components of the Creative Liveware package.
 
1) Remove it from your startup folder.
2) Uninstall it.
3) Turn it off using it's own options.
