SB Audigy 2 SPDIF in?

So I have this Audigy 2 with 2x SPDIF in. One CD SPDIF and one on the back feature connector. Can I make it record from a 16bit/44.1 - 48Khz DAT on any of these? Any hassle, or is it easy? Maybe there's a trick to it?
